South Shore Transp Company is Hiring a Terminal Manager Near Martins Ferry, OH

Responsibilities

  • Manage, lead, coach, develop and retain a team of Supervisors, Dispatchers, Administration, Dock associates and Drivers to achieve company targets.
  • Oversee maintenance operations to ensure efficient and proper maintenance of equipment (for facilities with Maintenance shops).
  • Direct the planning, development and implementation of necessary policies and procedures.
  • Direct the facilities ongoing operations and activities toward the accomplishment of organizational goals while managing the cost.
  • Define and recommend goals, develop specific short- and long-range plans and programs together with supporting budgeted targets.
  • Direct the preparation of specifications for purchase of supplies and materials as to quality, quantity, delivery and service required.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with shippers/customers.
  • Reviews Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR's) and ensures repairs are completed timely
  • Third-party vendor management.
  • Develop and recommend plans for facility improvements and manage grounds & operations of facility.
  • Partner with Safety department to maintain compliance.
  • Ensures that employee training needs are identified and appropriate training provided.
  • Environmental Health and Safety Management and compliance to Company Standards.
  • Look to enhance or modify existing operational processes to improve efficiencies.
  • Develop, implement and monitor quality control standards and procedures consistent with the organization's goals to exceed service targets.

Skills/Requirements

  • 10 years transportation Management experience required.
  • Must have current CDL license.
  • LTL experience
